agriculture_I2nOn_18681As we all know that this is the world of ’survival of fittest’, and moreover, it is the consumers who benefit the most. And nothing is wrong in this.

Now, when it comes to export of agricultural products from India, the Govt. objects and has fixed some ‘quota’ and ‘upper cap’.

I think the Indian Govt. must allow the farmers/exporters to export the quantity they like. If India can give a good price or good return to the Indian exporters, they will automatically stop exporting. Therefore, instead of breaking legs and arms of the exporters, the govt. should itself think and formulate plans as to how the exporters interest can be made fixed on domestic market itself.

Just as the Govt. is free to import food stuffs without any quota, the exporters must be free. If Govt. can fetch good prices from int’ market, that is good.

Let the local agriculture market be driven by global market forces. This is the best way to check world food prices
